Trisha's Story

Trisha was diagnosed with a Grade 3 In-Operable Brain Tumor (Anaplastic Astrocytroma) in April of 2011. In October of 2011 She was diagnosed with Skin Cancer. In May of 2012 She was diagnosed with a second Grade 3 In-Operable Brain Tumor (Anaplastic Astrocytroma).  Doctors recently told her that she may also now have a 3rd Brain Tumor (although this has not yet been confirmed.)

Due to her recent illnesses, she has had 2 brain surgeries, eye surgery, skin surgery, and has done 12 weeks of daily radiation treatment. Trisha has being going through Chemo Therapy since May of 2011. Trisha has fought hard by staying positive, active, and by following a strict diet. She has paid all of her own medical bills. As you may guess, it has been quite pricey. Luckily Trisha had been putting money in her savings for the past 12 years. She had hopes of one day using some of her savings to plan a grand wedding. She also hoped to use her savings to open a Great Harvest Franchise in Daybreak. Sadly, she has used all her savings on medical expenses.

Trisha found out about her brain tumor shortly after purchasing a home in South Jordan. She has since moved out and sold most of her belongings to help with expenses.

Unfortunately due to her brain tumor Trisha no longer has her job as a programmer at Hill Air Force Base. She is actively looking for a part-time job. She is looking for a company who can be flexible with her work schedule since she has many doctor appointments, and may be starting physical therapy soon.

She Graduated from BYU with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In the past she has had her Realtor's license, She's has also done Math tutoring. She is dependable, hard working, smart, & has a multitude of abilities.

With the Trot for Trisha event, we hope to raise enough money to help Trisha with her current & future medical bills. The money raised will also go towards another eye surgery and the expenses related to helping her maintain a healthy diet.
